Senior Support Worker – North Dorset

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our Dorset Outreach team. You will split your time between hands‑on support for individuals with learning disabilities or autism and leadership/administrative duties to keep the service running smoothly across North Dorset.

Key responsibilities

• Check in with teams across Shaftesbury, Gillingham and Sturminster Newton to ensure shifts run smoothly.
• Provide direct support including personal care, meal preparation and community activities.
• Review and update care plans, risk assessments and other documentation.
• Liaise with families, professionals and external agencies.
• Travel between locations (mileage reimbursed) and manage administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability and flexibility across multiple support packages.
• Proven experience in a senior support or team‑leader role.
• Confidence supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
• Full UK driving licence and own car (essential).
• Good organisational skills and IT competence.
• Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (minimum), ideally Level 3 or progressing.
