Senior Support Worker – Residential Care

About the role

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a residential service, helping adults with complex needs gain independence and enjoy a high quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct, person‑centred support to service users, encouraging independence in daily activities.
• Assist the Service Manager with shift planning, training coordination and induction of new staff.
• Oversee medication ordering, financial management support and documentation for service users.
• Deliver supervision, mentorship and performance feedback to junior support staff.
• Respond to behavioural challenges, including distress, autism and forensic needs, using approved strategies.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker in a residential setting.
• Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Valid UK driving licence held for at least one year and age over 21.
• Ability to travel to the service location using a personal vehicle.
