Senior Surveyor

About the role

Our client, a specialist engineering and surveying firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to lead a variety of surveying projects across the UK. The role combines technical delivery with client interaction, offering the chance to shape the future of the surveying department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver measured building, topographical and engineering surveys.
• Conduct 3D laser scanning projects and operate Total Stations.
• Process survey data, produce accurate drawings and reports.
• Liaise directly with clients throughout project lifecycles.
• Plan, manage and deliver survey activities from site mobilisation to final hand‑over.
• Support business development by building strong client relationships.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the surveying department.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering engineering or land surveying projects independently.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities.
• Strong organisational, planning and commercial awareness.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK.

Required skills

• Operation of Total Stations and laser scanning equipment.
• Experience with 3D laser scanning software (e.g., Leica RTC360).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Cyclone REGISTER 360, and point‑cloud processing tools.
• Knowledge of GIS or CAD software for data handling.
