Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation developing advanced radar and sensing technologies. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting projects from concept through to integration, verification, customer acceptance and in‑service support.

Key responsibilities

• Support the full systems engineering lifecycle from initial concept to delivery and customer acceptance.
• Develop system architectures, capture requirements and define technical solutions.
• Plan and execute system integration, verification and validation activities.
• Collaborate closely with software, electronics and mechanical engineering teams throughout product development.
• Identify, assess and manage technical risks across multiple projects.
• Produce high‑quality technical documentation, specifications and engineering reports.
• Participate in design reviews and customer‑facing engineering activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a diverse product portfolio.
• Travel to customer and project sites when required.

Required profile

• Solid background in systems engineering and product development within multidisciplinary environments.
• Experience across the complete product lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
• Proven ability to work with software, electronics and mechanical disciplines.
• Strong technical risk management and documentation skills.
• Effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence.
