Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Bedfordshire. Reporting to the Programme Chief Engineers, you will work on a variety of programmes delivering systems engineering activities across the aerospace and defence sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Classical requirements management and development
• Verification planning and execution
• Conducting trade studies and research projects
• Leading and coordinating work‑packages across multiple programmes
• Liaising with senior stakeholders within the company and with customers

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
• Academic or industrial experience in systems engineering and the engineering development lifecycle
• Knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) applied to programme stages
• Ability to multitask, lead teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
• Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions and willingness to obtain SC clearance (higher clearance beneficial)

• SysML/UML using CAMEO or Rhapsody
• IBM Jazz suite (DOORS‑NG, Test‑Manager, Quality‑Manager)
• MATLAB & Simulink
• AI/ML tools and techniques
• Agile methodologies (sprints, Kanban)
• Collaboration tools (SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence)
• M&S studies such as CFD, trajectory modelling, Finite Element Analysis
