Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our innovative engineering team delivering next‑generation semiconductor technologies. You will influence product development from concept through validation, industrialisation and implementation while championing best‑practice systems engineering methods.

Key responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities across multiple projects and programmes.
• Develop and implement strategies aligned with system lifecycle processes.
• Capture stakeholder needs and translate them into clear, structured system requirements.
• Create functional and logical architectures, diagrams and engineering models.
• Contribute to validation and verification planning.
• Manage requirements and technical integration throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support decision‑making through trade‑off analysis and risk management.
• Foster collaboration between multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Coach and mentor engineers in systems‑engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years applying systems‑engineering principles in a complex engineering environment.
• Proven experience in requirements management and system‑level design.
• Hands‑on experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Strong stakeholder‑management and influencing abilities.
• Experience defining needs, requirements and architectures for multidisciplinary projects.

What we offer

• Salary £60,000‑£65,000 per year
• 7.5% annual bonus
• Hybrid working based in Burgess Hill, South East England
• Monday‑Friday schedule with a 1 pm finish on Fridays
