Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a highly skilled Systems Team delivering complex software‑enabled systems. The role involves managing requirements, designing, verifying and validating hardware and software, while ensuring safety, security and performance throughout the lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the requirements database, including contractual requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Lead testing, verification and acceptance activities for hardware and software releases.
• Elicit, analyse and agree system requirements, assessing changes against design baselines.
• Develop design specifications and conduct system design in line with technical and quality standards.
• Improve engineering processes and procedures in response to technical developments.
• Coordinate technical analyses, investigations and evaluations, producing reports and recommendations.
• Review and manage external interface documentation and baselines.
• Lead broader systems engineering activities such as performance testing, human factors, safety, information assurance and security.

Required profile

• Experience working with software systems and software‑enabled products.
• Experience developing and enhancing software products based on business requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements for software products.
• Proven experience across multiple systems engineering disciplines including requirements analysis, system design, human factors, performance analysis, safety and security.
• Experience in large, complex multi‑project engineering environments.
• Ability to deliver systems to challenging deadlines in fast‑paced settings.
• Strong understanding of requirements management, system design, acceptance management and verification.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and technical reporting skills.
