Senior Systems Engineer – Pre‑Sales (London & South UK)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing global data‑protection and cyber‑resilience vendor to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer who will act as the technical lead for pre‑sales engagements across London and the South of the UK. The role is home‑based but requires regular face‑to‑face interaction with customers, partners and prospects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions throughout the sales cycle, helping customers articulate backup, recovery and storage challenges.
• Design, size and architect solutions that meet enterprise requirements for data protection and ransomware resilience.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, workshops and solution briefings.
• Support proof‑of‑concepts, respond to RFPs/RFIs and produce technical proposals.
• Collaborate with field sales, post‑sales and support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a customer‑facing technical role such as Senior Systems Engineer, Pre‑Sales Consultant, Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and to influence decision‑makers.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of building relationships with IT leaders, infrastructure teams and channel partners.
