Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

The Senior Tax Accountant will join a well‑established professional services firm in Warrington, delivering high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse client base. This permanent, onsite role requires deep knowledge of UK tax legislation and the ability to provide strategic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns in line with current regulations.
• Provide expert advice on tax planning strategies to clients.
• Ensure timely submission of all tax filings and related documentation.
• Assist with audits and liaise with HMRC as required.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
• Support clients with VAT and other indirect tax matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive tax solutions.
• Maintain accurate records while ensuring data confidentiality.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Professional qualification in accountancy or taxation (e.g., ACCA, ACA, ATT, CTA).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience within the professional services industry is preferred.
