Senior Tax Associate

About the role

We are partnering with a respected accountancy practice to hire a Senior Tax Associate for their Private Client Tax team. The role offers a supportive environment where you will develop your technical expertise while managing a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals and families.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Self Assessment, Trust and Partnership tax returns, including complex cases.
• Manage personal tax compliance, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Perform Capital Gains Tax calculations and support personal tax planning assignments.
• Review PAYE codes, National Insurance calculations and other compliance matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, HMRC and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and assist with workflow planning.
• Draft commercially focused correspondence and provide practical tax advice.

Required profile

• Currently studying for, or recently qualified in, ATT.
• Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice within Private Client Tax.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
• Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused attitude.
• Organised, proactive and eager to continue learning.
