Senior Technical Analyst

About the role

United Utilities is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to join its Environmental Performance team in Warrington. Reporting to the Regulatory Operational Performance Manager, you will support both Wastewater and Water Services, helping to deliver regulatory reporting, meet customer commitments and drive operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and insightful analysis to improve regulatory operational performance.
• Partner with Environmental Performance, Regulatory Services, Wastewater and Water Services teams to identify risks and implement improvements.
• Coach and mentor junior Technical Analysts, sharing knowledge and maintaining high standards.
• Monitor performance data, produce reports, and support compliance across a complex regulatory landscape.
• Champion new approaches as regulations evolve, influencing positive change across operational teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a technical analyst or similar role within a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.
• Excellent judgement, proactive attitude and ability to balance reactive operational demands with strategic reporting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple departments.
