About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Technical Compliance Manager to lead and oversee the legal compliance of our extensive property portfolio. In this critical role, you will drive excellence by managing policies, procedures, and providing expert technical guidance to ensure full adherence to building services legislation and industry best practices.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and implement robust compliance policies and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
- Oversee all legal compliance activities, including investigations, inspections, testing, and certifications.
- Conduct rigorous quality audits and inspections of third-party contractors to ensure service excellence.
- Provide technical leadership across key compliance areas: Fire Safety, Electrical, Gas, Lifts, Ventilation, Water, and Asbestos.
- Collaborate on the development of technical specifications for maintenance and lifecycle projects.
- Act as a key liaison between consultants, local authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Support business continuity planning and comprehensive risk management strategies.
- Deliver essential training and legislative updates to colleagues and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Degree level qualification (Licence, HND, or HNC) or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional certification in Health and Safety (IOSH or NEBOSH).
- Proven track record in compliance management, auditing, and contractor performance monitoring.
- Experience within the Higher Education sector is highly desirable.
- Deep technical knowledge of legal obligations regarding asbestos, electricity, fire safety, gas, mechanical systems, and water safety.
