Senior Technical Engineer (Mandarin) – Newbury

About the role

We are looking for a Mandarin‑speaking Senior Technical Engineer to join our Newbury repair centre. The role involves advanced troubleshooting and refurbishment of networking and smart‑home equipment, ensuring high‑quality service for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair routers, switches, Wi‑Fi devices, smart‑home products and consumer electronics at component and system level.
• Perform PCB fault finding, power‑circuit analysis, port testing, firmware recovery and hardware diagnostics.
• Handle escalated, high‑priority repair cases and provide technical solutions.
• Coach junior engineers and product testers, sharing repair procedures and best practices.
• Plan and allocate daily repair workload, monitor quality, and drive continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain ESD standards and comply with UK health & safety and WEEE regulations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in electronics repair or refurbishment, preferably with networking or smart‑home devices.
• Proven ability to lead or mentor a technical team in a workshop environment.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and effective communication in English and Mandarin.
