Senior Technical Surveyor

About the role

The Senior Technical Surveyor will ensure compliance with legislation, council standards and professional codes while supporting clients with diverse disabilities. Working closely with statutory agencies, housing providers and health services, you will assess eligibility for financial assistance and guide clients through available options.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that projects meet relevant legislation, council policies and professional best practice.
• Engage with clients, families and external partners to understand needs and build rapport.
• Determine eligibility of proposed works and advise on financial assistance, loans or discretionary grants.
• Collect and record applicant financial data, conduct means testing and make informed funding decisions.
• Prepare and present reports to peer forums and coordinate multidisciplinary meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Technical Surveyor.
• Background supporting people with a wide range of disabilities and communication needs.
• Experience working within a local authority environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of council standards, legislation and professional codes of conduct.
• Ability to assess eligibility and financial means.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
