Senior Technician

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Senior Technician to join its Southwark site, supporting the operation of a large fleet and essential services. You will be responsible for maintaining plant availability, overseeing the biological process, and ensuring the SCADA system runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve faults using the SCADA system and plant equipment.
• Provide clear instructions to MBT operatives and support shift supervisors.
• Conduct scheduled physical inspections following QHSE procedures.
• Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) checks and report findings.
• Record defects, assist with KPI data entry, and support line management with specialist knowledge.
• Prepare facilities for daily operation and carry out pre‑start equipment checks.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of SCADA systems.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Technical maintenance experience.
• Health, safety and environmental awareness.
• Attention to detail and leadership initiative.
