Senior Travel Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Travel Business Development Manager to lead account management and new‑business generation for our destination management services in Scotland. The role combines strategic client relationship building with the creation of complex touring programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage existing client accounts and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the UK and Ireland.
• Design, quote and deliver highly customised touring itineraries.
• Generate sales leads, follow up on opportunities and close deals.
• Represent the company at travel exhibitions and trade shows as required.
• Travel within the allocated territory to meet clients when needed.

Required profile

• Extensive sales experience within a Destination Management or Travel Management Company.
• Strong knowledge of the UK and Ireland as travel destinations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and adapt to changing situations.
• Proactive, confident and dynamic personality.

Required skills

• Fluency in English (additional language such as Italian, Spanish, French, German or Portuguese is a plus).
• IT literacy for quoting and CRM tools.
