Senior Vehicle Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join a well‑established motor vehicle sales, service and MOT centre in Godalming, Surrey. You will work in a busy garage that specialises in German and other European makes, delivering high‑quality diagnostics, repairs and MOT testing for a loyal customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics and mechanical repairs on BMW, SEAT, Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi and Mini models.
• Carry out MOT tests where required and ensure compliance with statutory standards.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety procedures and accurate service records.
• Provide technical advice to customers and support junior staff as needed.
• Utilise manufacturer training programmes to stay up‑to‑date with the latest technologies.

Required profile

• Reside within commuting distance of Godalming, Surrey.
• NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance preferred; Level 2 with substantial experience also considered.
• Proven track record as a vehicle technician in a main dealer or independent garage.
• Experience with diagnostics and repairs on the listed European makes.
• MOT certification is advantageous but not essential.
