Senior Vice President, Custody Sanctions Product Management

About the role

Citi is looking for a Senior Vice President to lead the Custody Sanctions Product Management function within its Investor Services division. Reporting to the Director, you will translate strategic sanctions objectives into operational reality across the global Custody business.

Key responsibilities

• Operationalise the sanctions product strategy, embedding compliance requirements into project design and technology solutions.
• Design, test and maintain sanctions controls, keeping an up‑to‑date inventory mapped to risks and regulatory obligations.
• Assess existing controls, lead remediation efforts, and coordinate with Technology and Operations to implement sustainable fixes.
• Manage end‑to‑end resolution of sanctions issues and corrective action plans, tracking progress and escalating risks.
• Prepare and maintain governance documents such as Sanctions Product Risk Assessments and risk exceptions.
• Monitor screening metrics (volume, accuracy, efficiency) to drive process improvements and product prioritisation.
• Act as the Custody sanctions expert in client discussions, due‑diligence meetings and complex transaction support.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in sanctions compliance within securities services or a custodian bank environment.
• Proven track record of product management and delivery in a regulated financial setting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior leaders and clients.
• Ability to translate policy into practical, technology‑enabled solutions.
