SEO Lead

About the role

As the SEO Lead you will own the organic search strategy for a portfolio of insurance brands, driving sustainable growth in visibility, traffic and revenue. This hands‑on, strategic position works closely with the Head of Marketing and performance teams to embed SEO across the whole marketing mix.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi‑brand SEO strategy that aligns with commercial objectives.
• Own SEO performance metrics including rankings, traffic, conversion and revenue contribution.
• Identify growth opportunities across content, technical SEO and authority building.
• Optimise for traditional search engines and AI‑driven discovery platforms (GEO / AEO).
• Shape content strategy, pinpoint gaps and guide teams on SEO and AI optimisation best practices.
• Lead technical SEO initiatives such as site health, indexing, performance and structured‑data implementation.
• Collaborate with paid‑media, CRO and content teams to deliver an integrated search approach and establish reporting frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SEO (technical, on‑site and content) with a track record of measurable growth.
• Strong understanding of the evolving search landscape, including AI‑search and generative results.
• Experience with GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear commercial actions.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams; experience in regulated sectors such as insurance or financial services is a plus.
