Service Advisor – Automotive After‑sales

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join a leading, award‑winning automotive retailer in Swindon. Working with a premium brand, you will be the primary point of contact for customers throughout their after‑sales journey, ensuring a smooth, professional experience from vehicle drop‑off to collection.

Key responsibilities

• Book vehicles for servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Manage face‑to‑face and telephone enquiries.
• Provide customers with timely updates on vehicle progress and estimated completion times.
• Liaise with technicians and workshop staff to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Identify and upsell additional work where appropriate.
• Prepare estimates and complete service documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor in a franchised dealership is preferred, but full training will be provided.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced after‑sales environment.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using workshop management software (if mentioned in training).

What we offer

• Basic salary of £30,000 with realistic OTE of £40,000 (including £10,000 annual bonus paid monthly).
• Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑6:00 pm plus one Saturday morning per four weeks.
