Service Advisor – Automotive After‑Sales

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Service Advisor to join a busy dealership in Bromley. In this customer‑facing position you will be the first point of contact for service customers, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from arrival to vehicle collection.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers at the service desk, build rapport and manage their expectations.
• Book service, maintenance and repair work while maximising workshop efficiency.
• Identify and upsell value‑adding services, labour and products.
• Provide regular updates to customers and arrange courtesy cars or alternative transport when required.
• Collaborate closely with the Workshop Controller and technicians to keep workflow on track.
• Explain work performed, pricing and recommendations clearly to customers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, Service Receptionist or Service Consultant in a main dealer or reputable independent garage.
• Strong communication skills, both face‑to‑face and on the phone.
• Organised, accurate and able to prioritise administrative tasks.
• Calm and proactive attitude in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Good admin and IT proficiency.
