Service Advisor – Automotive Customer Service

About the role

We are looking for a friendly Service Advisor to join a family‑run automotive business specialising in motorhome, caravan and campervan servicing. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience throughout each vehicle’s service journey.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers on arrival and conduct vehicle check‑ins.
• Create and manage job cards using the internal CRM system.
• Gather customer requirements and relay them clearly to the workshop team.
• Provide regular updates to customers via phone, email and face‑to‑face.
• Prepare estimates, issue invoices and process payments.
• Explain completed work and any additional recommendations.
• Order parts and support stock management when needed.
• Maintain accurate customer records and keep internal systems up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Customer Service or Service Administration professional.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Full UK driving licence and access to personal transport or local residence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software.
• Good IT literacy.
• Basic mechanical understanding of vehicles (advantageous).

What we offer

• Salary £25,000‑£30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Permanent, full‑time role – Monday to Friday 8:30‑17:00, occasional Saturdays paid at time‑and‑a‑half.
• 30‑minute unpaid lunch break and two paid 15‑minute tea breaks.
