Service Advisor - Automotive

About the role

We are looking for a Service Advisor to join a commercial vehicle dealership that sells, services and repairs vans and trucks. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating service appointments and ensuring a smooth after‑sales experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers in person and over the phone in a professional manner.
• Book vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair appointments.
• Prepare and manage repair orders using the dealership management system.
• Complete vehicle check‑in procedures, record condition and customer requirements.
• Keep customers updated throughout the repair process and obtain approval for any additional work.
• Arrange vehicle collections, deliveries and handovers.
• Ensure accurate service documentation for invoicing and workshop administration.
• Review service records to recommend appropriate maintenance.
• Support the day‑to‑day running of the service department.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Receptionist, Service Administrator or similar role in the automotive industry.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational ability with attention to detail.
• Professional, positive and team‑oriented attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
