Service Advisor – Customer-Facing Role in Torbay

About the role

We are looking for a Service Advisor to be the main point of contact between customers and the workshop in Torbay. You will manage vehicle servicing and repairs, ensuring efficient workflow while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, discuss servicing, maintenance and repair needs.
• Book vehicles into the workshop and arrange courtesy cars when required.
• Liaise with technicians and workshop controllers to monitor vehicle progress.
• Keep customers updated and obtain approval for any additional work.
• Prepare job cards, estimates and invoices.
• Explain completed work and associated charges to customers.
• Upsell service plans, labour, parts and other after‑sales products.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Required profile

• Previous Service Advisor experience in a motor dealership.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Good administration and computer skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with dealership management systems is advantageous.

Required skills

• Dealership management system (DMS) proficiency.
