Service Advisor – Customer Service Role in Kidlington

About the role

We are seeking a Service Advisor to join a well‑established automotive dealer group in Kidlington. The role involves being the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for servicing, maintenance or repairs, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, discuss their service or repair needs and book appointments.
• Manage the daily service diary and allocate vehicles to the workshop.
• Liaise with technicians to provide timely updates on vehicle progress.
• Explain any additional work required in a clear, professional manner.
• Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the day to manage expectations.
• Promote repeat business by building positive relationships and recommending appropriate service plans or products.
• Support the wider after‑sales team in the day‑to‑day running of the department.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a dealership or a customer‑facing role such as hospitality, retail or leisure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, friendly and professional attitude.
• Strong organisational ability with capacity to multitask in a busy environment.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the motor trade.
• Full UK driving licence.
