Service Advisor – Hatfield

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Service Advisor to join a leading dealer group in Hatfield. The role involves front‑line customer interaction at the service reception, coordinating vehicle work and ensuring a high level of service satisfaction. You will be the main point of contact for customers bringing their cars in for maintenance or repair.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers as they arrive at the service reception.
• Book vehicles into the workshop and create, raise and close job cards.
• Obtain authorisations for required work and communicate them to the workshop.
• Liaise with technicians to monitor work‑in‑progress and provide updates to customers.
• Arrange courtesy cars using the One Link system.
• Prepare cost estimates, invoice customers and manage hand‑overs.
• Identify upsell opportunities and promote additional services.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a main‑dealer environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to upsell.
• Excellent administrative and communication skills.
• Familiarity with RTC, One Link and Kerridge systems is a distinct advantage.
