Service Advisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join a reputable independent service centre in Leighton Buzzard. The role sits at the front of the workshop, acting as the primary point of contact for customers and ensuring a smooth flow of work between the reception and the technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and manage front‑desk operations efficiently.
• Handle incoming calls, organise service bookings and maintain the appointment schedule.
• Serve as the key link between customers and workshop technicians, providing updates on job progress.
• Order parts, update relevant systems and coordinate schedules to ensure timely service delivery.
• Liaise with customers regarding ongoing work, addressing queries and confirming completion.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor within the motor trade.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively in a busy, high‑pressure environment.
• Well‑organised with strong attention to detail.
• Capable of building rapport with both customers and workshop staff.

• Salary up to £36,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, with occasional Saturday mornings.
