Service and Installation Engineer

About the role

This field‑based position covers the North West of England and South London, reporting to the Contracts Manager. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electromechanical gate and barrier systems across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, replace components and complete repairs on electromechanical products.
• Attend sites promptly for inductions and carry out installations, fault finding, testing and preventative maintenance.
• Manage and deliver service, maintenance and installation projects within agreed timelines.
• Produce accurate service reports and complete required documentation.
• Liaise with Service, Contracts, Maintenance, technical and production teams, as well as customers, to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain van stock, keep the service vehicle road‑legal and clean, and submit timesheets on schedule.
• Comply with health & safety policies and company regulations, including overnight stays and travel as needed.

• Methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
• Self‑motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Flexible, team‑oriented attitude.
