Service Charge Accountant – Up to £40k + Bonus (DOE)

About the role

Join a progressive, employee‑owned property business as a Service Charge Accountant. You will manage your own portfolio of service charge accounts, working closely with property managers, clients and tenants to deliver accurate and timely financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of service charge accounts from inception to completion.
• Prepare annual service charge accounts in line with lease requirements and accounting standards.
• Reconcile service charge income and expenditure.
• Produce budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
• Respond to client, leaseholder and tenant queries.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and support the finance team’s success.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Service Charge Accounting, including managing your own portfolio.
• Solid understanding of service charge accounting principles and lease obligations.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
