Service Co-ordinator

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Service Co-ordinator to manage day‑to‑day service delivery across its Dewsbury operations. You will allocate work to vehicles and routes, liaise with drivers and customers, and ensure compliance with transport regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and dynamically manage work to vehicles and routes.
• Communicate status updates to customers, stakeholders and drivers.
• Conduct debriefs with front‑line staff and report actions.
• Engage face‑to‑face with drivers to resolve on‑route issues.
• Report safety concerns, container damage and enforce ‘stop the job’ when needed.
• Ensure on‑site legal compliance (WTD, O‑licence, transport regulations).

Required profile

• Understanding of transport compliance and the Waste Transport Directive (WTD).
• Strong communication skills with drivers, frontline staff and customers.
• Ability to organise a busy workload and work at a fast pace.
• Experience with quality management systems such as ISO.
• Experience managing transport compliance.
