Service Desk Engineer

About the role

As a Service Desk Engineer you will be the first technical point of contact for the user community, supporting Business Technology Operations across multiple sites. You will work within the Business Technology team to deliver a smooth ICT experience for end‑users and help drive the company’s sustainability and innovation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming technical support tickets and walk‑ins at the Tech Bar.
• Provision, decommission and induct user devices for ICT systems.
• Install and package engineering applications for Windows and macOS.
• Manage meeting rooms, printers, and asset/change management processes.
• Diagnose and repair hardware/software failures, including log analysis.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call support and liaise with hardware vendors.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with experience in a service‑desk environment.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multi‑site environment and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with information‑security frameworks such as ISO‑27001, especially in automotive or rail contexts.

Required skills

• Windows and macOS troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Intune, Defender, Entra ID and Microsoft 365 Suite.
• JAMF administration.
• Application packaging for Windows and macOS.
• Service‑desk ticketing tools.
