Service Desk Technician – ChromeOS & Windows Support

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Service Desk Technician to provide expert technical support to employees across the UK and Ireland. The role focuses on ChromeOS and Google Workspace, while also covering traditional Microsoft Windows and Office environments. You will join a dynamic team committed to ecological transformation and delivering high‑quality IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line and advanced support for ChromeOS devices and Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, etc.).
• Provide comprehensive support for Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Troubleshoot, log and resolve complex hardware and software incidents across both ChromeOS and Windows platforms.
• Administer Google Workspace user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
• Use ServiceNow (or similar) ticketing system to record, track and prioritize incidents and service requests.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge‑base articles and user guides.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to escalates and resolve specialised or bespoke Veolia applications.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of both ChromeOS/Google Workspace and Windows/Office environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and a customer‑centric approach.
• Motivation to learn quickly as new services are introduced.
• Ability to manage own ticket queue and set appropriate priorities.
