Service Engineer – Compressed Air Systems

About the role

Our client, a leading supplier of compressed air system solutions, is seeking a Service Engineer to deliver maintenance, repairs and technical support to customers across the North West. The role involves travelling to customer sites, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and reactive maintenance on compressed air systems and associated equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform repairs and inspections.
• Provide on‑site technical support and advice to customers.
• Accurately record service activities, findings and recommendations.
• Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding completed work and follow‑up actions.
• Adhere to company and industry health and safety standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service processes.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Proven field service experience working independently at customer sites.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations for industrial equipment.
