Service Engineer – Compressed Air & Vacuum Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join our Hertford‑based team. You will install, service and maintain compressed air and vacuum equipment at customer sites, ensuring safe and efficient operation while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain compressed air and vacuum equipment and associated systems.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs and carry out preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate with the Service Department to schedule and complete work efficiently.
• Provide customers and colleagues with regular progress updates.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Identify improvement opportunities or additional customer requirements and communicate them internally.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties appropriate to the role.

Required profile

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to live within approximately 20 miles of Hertford.
• Right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Strong electrical engineering knowledge.
• Experience with compressed air and vacuum systems.
• Excellent fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
