Service Engineer – Water Treatment (Midlands)

About the role

We are seeking a Service Engineer with a water‑treatment background to join a leading provider of water‑treatment solutions serving NHS and food‑and‑beverage customers. You will be based in Cambridge and cover a regional patch across the Midlands, delivering planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of treatment equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (approximately 70% of the workload) on water‑treatment systems.
• Carry out reactive repairs and troubleshooting (approximately 30%).
• Travel to client sites across the Midlands, with occasional overnight stays.
• Upsell spare parts and consumables, earning commission on sales.
• Participate in on‑call duties and optional overtime to maximise earnings.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar in water‑treatment, plumbing or related fields.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to cover a regional patch.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
