Service & Installation Engineer – Stairlift & Hoist

About the role

We are seeking a Service & Installation Engineer to join a specialist provider of stairlifts and ceiling hoists across South Cumbria. The role is Monday‑Friday, office‑based in Barrow‑in‑Furness with a local patch, offering a balanced work‑life schedule and the chance to increase earnings through overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service and repair a range of ceiling hoists and stairlifts for residential customers.
• Travel within the designated patch covering Barrow‑in‑Furness, Dalton‑in‑Furness, Ulverston, Grange‑over‑Sands, Kendal and surrounding areas.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting on‑site, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any issues to the engineering team.

Required profile

• Field Service or Installation Engineer with experience in hoists, stairlifts or similar equipment.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience preferred; motivated candidates from related trades are welcome.
• Reliable, proactive and willing to work overtime to maximise earnings.
• Based locally to minimise travel time.
