Service Lead - Young People

About the role

You will lead and develop high‑quality supported housing services for young people across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The role combines strategic leadership with day‑to‑day operational oversight, ensuring services are safe, compliant and deliver positive outcomes for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire teams delivering supported housing for young people across multiple locations.
• Use data, customer feedback and performance insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, contractual and regulatory standards, including Ofsted where applicable.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local authorities, commissioners and external agencies.
• Manage budgets, operational performance and service development to achieve value for money.
• Lead tender opportunities and support the growth of the housing portfolio.
• Champion a customer‑focused culture and support high‑performing teams.
• Represent the organisation externally and participate in an on‑call rota.

Required profile

• Significant experience working with young people in supported housing or a similar environment.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate high‑performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of supported housing, tenancy management and safeguarding.
• Experience managing budgets and delivering service improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and partnership building skills.
