Service Lift Engineer

About the role

We are recruiting for a Service Lift Engineer to join a well‑established lift engineering business covering the Bristol/South West area. The role involves servicing, maintaining, fault‑finding and repairing a variety of lift equipment on a regular route.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, fault finding and repair on diverse lift systems.
• Work on a standby rota and respond flexibly to customer requirements.
• Use smartphones and tablets to manage jobs and complete electronic paperwork.
• Travel across the designated Bristol patch, ensuring timely service delivery.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) in Lift Engineering, or currently studying towards it.
• Proven experience in lift service, maintenance and repair.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
• Experience with modern MRL traction lifts and equipment from multiple manufacturers.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Based in or around Bristol, or willing to relocate.
