Service Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Service Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our busy field service department. You will act as the main point of contact for both customers and engineers, ensuring that service requests are allocated, executed and invoiced efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the daily workload of Field Service Engineers.
• Receive customer service requests, schedule engineers and allocate work based on priority, location and availability.
• Ensure engineers have the necessary information, parts and tools to complete jobs.
• Monitor attendance, holiday and sickness reporting for the engineering team.
• Oversee service jobs from booking through to completion and invoicing, reviewing job reports for accuracy.
• Handle customer order numbers, process invoices and respond to invoice queries.
• Maintain high levels of customer communication throughout the repair process.
• Support the Depot Manager and act as deputy during absences.
• Liaise with the Parts Department to secure required components.
• Raise and manage service job cards, monitor work‑in‑progress and minimise outstanding jobs.
• Ensure equipment inspections, stock checks and safety procedures are followed.
• Provide feedback on team performance, training needs and promote safe working practices.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a service coordination, service controller or service supervisor role.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and engineering staff.
