Service Team Leader – Front End Operations

About the role

As a Checkout Team Leader you will drive the front‑end of store operations, ensuring smooth checkout, customer service, kiosk and car‑park experiences. You will be visible on the shop floor, supporting colleagues and keeping queues moving.

Key responsibilities

• Stay on the shop floor with your team, using headsets to intervene quickly, support colleagues and keep queues moving.
• Build a friendly, supportive team culture where staff feel trusted, listened to and recognised.
• Ensure daily processes, cash handling and legal obligations are followed correctly each shift.
• Analyse store reports and dashboards to identify issues, make improvements and enhance the checkout experience.
• Maintain a tidy, organised department and manage put‑backs promptly to minimise waste.

Required profile

• Natural leader with a helpful, friendly style.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with colleagues and customers.
• Enjoys coaching and developing high‑performing teams.
• Operational and technical knowledge of front‑end service departments.

Required skills

• Cash handling procedures.
• Use of data dashboards and store reporting tools.
