Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician will join a well‑established service centre in the Elstree area, handling the repair, calibration and cleaning of core fusion splicer products. You will work Monday to Friday on‑site, delivering high‑quality repairs on small electro‑mechanical and opto‑electronic devices.

Key responsibilities

• Service, clean, calibrate and repair core fusion splicer products.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs across at least two product types.
• Meet quality and efficiency targets for all repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records using Microsoft Office and the company ERP system.
• Follow established service procedures and safety policies.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge of new products and repair techniques.

Required profile

• Previous experience repairing small electrical or electronic devices with precision.
• Level 3 BTEC, ONC or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline.
• Strong practical, hands‑on skills with electro‑mechanical and opto‑electronic equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and comfortable using ERP systems.
• A valid UK driving licence.

What we offer
