Setting Out Engineer – NG Persons (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Setting Out Engineer with experience in NG Persons to join a short‑term project at a substation in Wymondley, Hertfordshire. The role starts on Wednesday 22 July and will run for a couple of months, providing a hands‑on opportunity to apply your setting‑out expertise on critical electrical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out setting‑out works for substation equipment, ensuring precise alignment and compliance with design specifications.
• Utilise NG Persons and EUSR NG Persons tools to verify positions and record data.
• Coordinate with site teams to maintain safety standards and minimise disruption.
• Prepare and submit setting‑out reports and as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience setting out on electrical substations.
• Hands‑on knowledge of NG Persons and EUSR NG Persons systems.
• Availability to start on 22 July and work on‑site for the duration of the contract.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed technical instructions.
