Severn & Wye Nature Programme Manager

About the role
The Severn & Wye Nature Programme Manager will provide continuity of leadership during a critical transition period for the Severn & Wye Nature partnership. Working from Shrewsbury, you will help maintain strategic direction, progress priority projects and strengthen the programme’s position to secure funding.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain strategic oversight of the programme while progressing high‑priority opportunities.
- Develop early‑stage business cases and support business‑development activities with funders, buyers and partners.
- Identify and develop new funding opportunities and refine the project pipeline to align with market demand.
- Coordinate with a wide range of partners to ensure delivery readiness and alignment with programme goals.
- Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders and contribute to securing additional funding for programme extension.
Required profile
- Proven programme management and strategic delivery experience.
- Experience developing business cases, funding bids or investment propositions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- Background in environmental programmes, natural capital or nature recovery is advantageous.

What we offer
- Salary £40,019 – £46,337 per annum (FTE), dependent on experience.
- 7% pension contribution.
- Fixed‑term 6‑month contract (potential extension).
- Flexible working hours (0.6‑0.8 FTE, 21‑28 hours per week).
- Time off in lieu for additional hours worked.
