Sewing Machinist – Industrial Sewing Role

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Sewing Machinist to join a busy manufacturing team in Redruth. You will operate industrial sewing equipment to produce and repair textile products, ensuring high‑quality stitching that meets pattern specifications and tight production deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Sew bespoke garments, including reinforcements and fastenings.
• Operate zigzag, overlock and blind‑hem machines to a high standard.
• Check finished products against specifications and carry out required alterations.
• Log completed work accurately using manufacturing software.

Required profile

• Previous sewing machine experience desirable but not essential.
• Thorough, precise approach with high attention to detail.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work with your hands.
• Numerically competent and computer literate.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
