SHE Manager – 12 Month Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SHE Manager to join a well‑established manufacturing site on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave. You will be responsible for leading safety, health and environmental initiatives across manufacturing, production, warehousing and logistics, and for driving the continued development of the site’s SHE culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SHE performance, compliance and risk management across all site operations.
• Collaborate closely with the Factory Manager and senior leadership to embed SHE best practices.
• Maintain and improve ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Develop and coach teams to build SHE capability and a proactive safety culture.
• Oversee incident prevention, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• NEBOSH Diploma (essential).
• Strong background in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
• Proven site leadership experience in a high‑risk setting.
• Hands‑on, proactive and solutions‑focused leadership style.
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organisational levels.

Required skills

• ISO 45001 management system knowledge.
• ISO 14001 management system knowledge.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term 12‑month contract (maternity cover).
• Competitive salary between £50,000 and £60,000 per annum.
• Monday‑Friday, 37.5 hours per week onsite.
