SHEQ Co-ordinator – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

Bulkhaul is seeking a proactive SHEQ Co-ordinator to support the implementation, development and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Security practices across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support to the SHEQ Manager.
• Conduct regular safety audits, workplace inspections and risk assessments across all departments.
• Maintain and update SHEQ controls, policies and procedures in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Monitor and report SHEQ performance metrics and contribute to improvement plans.
• Deliver safety inductions and training to promote a strong safety culture.
• Draft and review risk assessments, procedures, policies and processes.
• Provide senior management with updates on SHEQ issues and trends.
• Ensure compliance with UK SHEQ legislation, company policies and ISO audit requirements.
• Review ISO audit reports, oversee corrective actions and assist with customer complaint investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a SHEQ or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of UK SHEQ legislation and best practice.
• NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
• Fire Safety or Environmental qualification (desirable).
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Proven ability to conduct internal and external audits and risk assessments.
