SHEQ Manager – Telecommunications Infrastructure

About the role

The company is a fast‑growing telecommunications infrastructure specialist delivering major network build projects across the UK. As the SHEQ Manager you will lead the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality function, shaping strategy, ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture across a diverse portfolio of fibre and digital infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, own and continuously improve the SHEQ management plan and overall strategy.
• Conduct site audits and inspections to verify compliance with CDM Regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Oversee document control, RAMS preparation and review for all projects.
• Provide expert guidance and support to operational teams on safety, environmental and quality matters.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate SHEQ performance to senior management.
• Lead investigations of incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate lifting operations, rigging, working at height and RF safety activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a SHEQ/HSEQ role within the telecommunications sector.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and associated compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing and reviewing RAMS and managing site safety on telecoms and infrastructure projects.
• NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification.
