Shift Driver – RAF Cosford (Shropshire)

About the role

Join Babcock as a Shift Driver at the RAF Cosford site in Shropshire, supporting a high‑profile MOD contract. You will report to the Transport Manager and play a vital part in operational logistics within a mission‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate cars, vans, minibuses and coaches with a minimum Category D licence.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report faults and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Work flexibly across all contract areas, performing duties beyond standard driving.
• Support delivery of contracted outputs to the MoD in line with training and competencies.
• Adhere to shift patterns (early, day or late) covering 39.5 hours per week on‑site.

Required profile

• Full Category D driver’s licence (excluding D1) and valid Category B/B1 licence.
• Proven experience operating Heavy Goods Vehicles or passenger coaches.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Enhanced DBS + Security Check (EDBSSC) clearance.
• Strong safety awareness and advanced driving proficiency.
