Shipping Operator – Fleet Planning & Bunker Management

About the role

We are seeking a Shipping Operator to join our dynamic Shipping Operations team in central London. You will support day‑to‑day fleet operations for a fleet of around 30 RoRo vessels, ensuring efficient planning, scheduling and bunker management.

Key responsibilities

• Create, monitor and optimise daily vessel schedules to guarantee safe, reliable and cost‑effective operations.
• Track schedule adherence and operational KPIs, adjusting plans as required.
• Communicate any schedule deviations and explain their operational and financial impact.
• Liaise daily with captains, terminals, commercial, technical and data teams to ensure smooth vessel movements.
• Act as the primary contact for assigned services, balancing reliability and cost.
• Organise bunker operations, coordinating vessels, bunker barges, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Handle administrative follow‑up such as invoices and certificates and support operational cost control.
• Contribute to fleet performance optimisation, strategic deployment decisions, emission reporting and sustainability initiatives where relevant.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Experience in shipping operations, transport or network planning, bunkering, RoRo operations or fleet performance monitoring.
• Strong interest in planning, organising and improving maritime processes.
