Shop Supervisor – Part‑time Fixed‑term

About the role

Age UK is looking for a motivated Shop Supervisor to help run its Houghton Regis store. This is a three‑month fixed‑term, part‑time position where you will ensure a friendly shopping experience while supporting the charity’s fundraising goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations.
• Drive sales by delivering excellent customer service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately.
• Rotate stock, organise displays and maintain store tidiness.
• Lift and move stock bags up to 10 kg as required.
• Cover shifts across a 7‑day rota, including weekends.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing retail role.
• Proven cash‑handling ability.
• Physical capability to lift 10 kg items.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Flexible schedule to cover holidays, sickness and occasional events.
• Awareness of cultural and gender diversity and commitment to equal opportunities.
